A prevalent theme today has been about the patience required to build inclusion into an organization. For many, the idea of diversity and inclusion is still very new. Lina Ismail went about describing Fundserv's perspective on enabling a diverse culture using an "if you know why then you will know how" approach.

She offered enlightening stats such as:

• Without diverse leadership, women are 20% less likely than straight white men to win endorsement for their ideas

• Teams where men and women are equal earn 41% more revenue

Diversity doesn’t just happen. You need to foster it and change as it grows. Diversity is about opening up the space for innovation.
